Description

In 2006 I was to gain the first Doctoral qualification to be awarded at Manchester School of Architecture (MSA). The PhD focused on the development and generation of sustainable communities within post-industrial cities, a thesis that moved toward a creative and spatially efficient self-perpetuating city development methodology. This advancement on sustainable urbanistic thinking became greatly received by both scientific and architectural design community, contributing to my international reputation and authority in sustainable urbanism. This on-going work being selected by the Die Natalis organisation committee to be presented at the highly prestigious 173rd Dies Natalis 2015 (TUD foundation day celebrations), to an audience of globally respected pioneers of ‘smart city’ thinking including Anthony Townsend, author of ‘Smart Cities’.
