Description

The topic - Affect & Ethics - is one of key interest in our time of mediated affects being circulated on all platforms 24/7. Meanwhile, we’re not interested in fueling this self-generative machine of often pre-mediated or fake news too much. Instead, we’re looking for alternate ways of dealing with affect in the tradition from Spinoza’s Ethics, that has grown to become a major inspiration for thinkers in the 20th and 21st century. The relation between ethics and ethology could surely be explored in relation to the challenges of climate change, political transformations and a lot of related questions. The element of ‘encountering’, ‘doing’, ‘affecting’ and ‘signaling’ in the worlding experience taking place in all forms – from microbes to cells and AI-systems – has to include the ecology of environmental, social and mental parameters as proposed by Félix Guattari.
