Research profile

My main interest lies in the combination of geodetic data (GNSS, GRACE, InSAR) to study the Earth’s surface motions. I am also interested in the effects of surface deformation on other processes, such as tsunamis, sea level, glaciers and other surface processes.

My projects involve combining observations and models of the motion of the surface of the Earth, to better understand the underlying mechanisms that lead to deformation. I am especially interested in the combination of new microphysical knowledge on the time-dependent strength of the viscous mantle and numerical models to explain the fast response of the solid earth to current-day ice melt.
