Research profile

Paul Suijker is a project manager in the department of Research Support from TU Delft Library. He is currently working on the implementation of the TU Delft Research Portal. This portal is showcasing all the current research output of TU Delft researchers. Furthermore he is exploring alternative access to full text documents, and he runs a project stimulating the use of ORCID within TU Delft.

Academic background

Paul Suijker has a MSc degree in Physical Geography from Utrecht University in 1984. His area of specialisation is Geomorphology and Landscape description. After that he studied computer science, especially the management of mainframe computers and servers. From 1985 until 1987 he was employed by the Wereldmuseum Rotterdam, working on the ICT infrastructure of the museum and on collection management. In August 1987 he started working for TU Delft Library. Within the TU Delft Library he has held several positions: system operator, system administrator, scientific  information specialist (field of study: geosciences), administrator special collections and product researcher in the department of Library Innovation. Since September 2013 he is employed as a project manager for the department of Research Support of the Library.
