title = "Contextual awareness in mobile information processing",
abstract = "Applications of mobile information technologies in architecture and building require a high degree of contextual awareness not only for localization but also for distinguishing between different types of information (relevant, redundant, stable etc.). This awareness refers to the physical context of a device, as well as to the social dynamics of the situation (including interaction with shared information). Architectural knowledge and in particular design representations support the development of contextual awareness but there are significant differences between these representations and the use of information they convey in mobile applications.",
