Abstract

Rapid changes in the regulations and the organization of the transport sector make innovation an absolute necessity. The ability to cope with these changes depends largely on the learning capacity of the organization. The transport case described here is about the development of a sustainable learning strategy to handle the needs of the mobile workforce also in the long term. The solution is an integrated business portal built on the elements: information, communication, learning and performance improvement. The portal is online and functionalities are added to establish a stable and sustainable solution. Acceptance is growing, but management support remains crucial.
