Abstract
Marie-Claire ten Veldhuis shared her experience in novel rainfall radars with hydrologists at Princeton University. They discovered that conventional urban hydrology models need adjustment to deal with radar-measured variation and that, to explain urban floodings, stormwater drainage infrastructure dominates urbanisation degrees. Highly relevant work for the Dutch Delta Programme’s Spatial Adaptation and for cities suffering from rainstorms like Mumbai and Houston
